This project required me to create a two-minute performance video surrounded by the idea of "Disembody" (however we defined that term) and I had to be the main subject of the video. My concept for this film was to move my body in the natural environments in such a way that I become part of them. I questioned myself, “How can I incorporate my physical body into natural environments seamlessly, and ‘How could I create a moving story that others will connect to and enjoy?” I found that this was best shown by using my personal feelings about being a woman and how difficult it is to be feminine and feel beautiful in a society with such strict terms. My adversity and struggles around this subject take form when I coat my body in blood embracing myself in a desperate attempt to feel the love I should towards my own identity. the second figure in the film represents my longing to be that divine feminine stereotype that I struggle to hold onto.
