What started as a base for a lamp turned into one of my most ambitious projects yet. The end result is a large ceramic head that can be used as a dish cover, or have candles lit inside for a lamp with various cracks and holes hidden within the piece for light to peak through. My concept was a reversed Thanksgiving, a cornucopia of a human head with fruits shoved inside. One focus in this piece was perfecting the accuracy of the skin tones and texture to resemble decay of real skin.
