This was the submission I created for Spukhaus 23 where we were required to create a piece under the theme of deep sea horror. I wanted to experiment with building a puppet that had felting as its main media focus. The concept of this is the horror and beauty of the realities in the deep sea. The orca lays upright with a sea parasite wrapping around its head. The front of it's figure is decayed and filled with mold, showing the beauty in death and other fungal organisms.
